A beginners course designed for those with no previous computing experience. The training assumes no prior knowledge and contains a number of features designed to re-assure learners as they progress. The course constitutes an ideal starting point for progression onto ECDL and other more formal training opportunities. There is a management system for tutors and regular progress tests with certificates.
First Steps is also available in a number of community languages, Urdu, Arabic, Somali and Bengali, the course also features high contrast text for visually impaired users. The use of English voice with other language text makes the course suitable for ESOL students.
First Steps is ASET accredited and has a LAD number making it eligible for LSC funding.
** Please note that the community language versions are supplied as two CD-ROM's. The first CD requires the English version to run the training, with the second CD being the language translation.
