Technical Specifications

All ISV software is developed in-house. Keyboard skills and Call Centre Training software is developed using Borland C and Visual C++. Multimedia software is developed using Authorware.

Data is created and stored by the system using a flat file architecture, within the systems installation directories.

Configuration options.

All software is supplied ready-to-run on either single user PCs or a PC network.

The software can normally be configured in three different ways:

Standalone: the software is both loaded and run from the hard disk or CD-ROM drive of a standalone PC.
Networked results: the software is loaded and run from the local hard disk or CD-ROM drive of a networked PC. All results are stored on the central file server, allowing the training supervisor to monitor all candidates centrally.
Fully networked: the software is loaded onto, and run from, a network file server. (Note that some types of training, notably Call Centre Training, make heavy use of audio files. Where multiple candidates are using Call Centre Training concurrently, LAN performance may become unacceptable. In this case, we recommend networking the results only.)

Supported operating systems

ISV software can run on any PC that supports Windows 95 or above. The software can be networked using Novell 2.1x, 3.1x, 4.x, LAN Manager, Windows Network and any Netbios file sharing network.

HDD:

The 'Program Disk' is essential and forms the minimum requirement to use ISV Software. This requires 530MB of disk space.

In order for the software to store results a further 50MB of free space is recommended.

Multimedia Training and Assessment Add-On, depending on your selection, require further 500MB - 2.5GB of space to install.
